Did you know that there is a "Virtual" Museum on the internet in addition to the physical museum in Building 120? The web site is www.rockwellcollinsmuseum.org  There you will find a plethora of photographs, articles, publications, and documents all relating to the company history and legacy.  The site is quite active with new material added on a near monthly basis thanks to our volunteers and web-master Larry Tjaden.  For example, this month there is a short story and photo of James Bond in the movie Goldfinger about to climb aboard a Lockheed JetStar L-329 sporting the Collins Radio logo on the blade antenna.

How many other movies have scenes featuring our equipment?  If you find something, send the info to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  It will be interesting to see what's out there.

This new RCRV.ORG website is a work in progress and you can help improve it.

  • The header at the top of this page is a placeholder borrowed from the RCRV letterhead.  We invite any member to provide an interesting graphic design for this space.  For example, an array of old Collins pictures along with pictures of current RCRV members performing volunteer activities.  We are open to any ideas and if appropriate, we will cycle through all the offerings.  The space is  1060 pixels wide by 288 pixesl tall.
  • We would like to include articles in the website describing  the activities of RCRV volunteers at the various organizations..  This would be a good place to talk about a special event or activity for your volunteer organization.

Send your articles and graphic banners to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
